No.......

It is true. The D40X is having a problem with it's white balance. My Hari Raya pictures were terrible. Not many will bother (because they were sharp and colorful) but to those whom understood photography, will.

But that is only on white balance. Small matter to me. But I do get a little crazy shooting here and there.

It may be an old camera, but shooting with it is a very nice experiences. One that I found very interesting is the menus. Settings can easily be changed. Since it is easy, you often play around with it, try a few different setting or even try the unusual. Out of a few hundred shots, you will get a few very nice one.

This is not a master piece, but I enjoy taking it, and I enjoy watching it time after time!

This photo was taken during the night at the park while waiting for my son to finish copying some of his school activity materials. And it was shot using ISO1600.

SD Card 8 Gb

I was on my way back from office when I stop at a computer dealer looking for a memory card. The first shop want to sell me a 4Gb card for RM75. I almost jump with surprise. This is 2010 man..... memory card is not that expensive anymore.

So, I move to the other shop. Another computer dealer. She wanted to sell me a 8Gb card for RM62. Well, this is a lot better offer. I tried to ask for a discount but I got none.

Well, at least, it was a 8Gb card.............. he.. he.. heeeeeeeee.............

What about lense?

I bought body only. I have to spent some more to purchase a lens. Meanwhile, I decided to borrow one from a friend of mine whom are a loyal Nikon fans.

So, I call him and we meet at a mamak stall. He agreed to lend me his 15-55 lens from his D70. Yesss... now I can start shooting.... but..... or well.. I do not have a memory card.

I decided to try Nikon!

I heard that the D40 is a superb camera. That was how it all started. Since I do not have much to spend, I looked for used one at mudah.my.

6Mp on the D40 is rather to small a figure, so I decided to try either D40X or D60 because they use a 10Mp CCD sensor . After some consideration, I chooses D40X.

So, on the 24th August 2010, I own my first Nikon.

I bought it used, from a UPM student. Body only for RM850. Personally I think it is rather expensive, but since it was in a very good condition, I bought it anyway.
